Designed for both seasoned yoga teachers and those with an interest in restorative yoga, this course delves into the art and science of restorative practices, ensuring that participants complete the program with a thorough understanding of restorative yoga principles and the ability to guide others on their own yogic journeys.
This training includes an overview of yogic philosophy, exploring the ancient wisdom that forms the foundation of yoga, including its restorative aspects. We will cover how to create a supportive and inclusive environment, respecting the diverse needs and experiences of your clients/students in restorative classes. Master the art of alignment and posture in the restorative poses using blankets, blocks, bolsters, and straps.
Through hands-on demonstration and practice, refine your ability to guide students into restful positions and provide gentle, effective assistance for maximum relaxation in supported poses, including “recliner pose”, “seated straddle”, “bridge”, “mountain brook”, and more. Gain an understanding of how different restorative poses impact muscles, joints, and organs, enabling you to adapt and modify poses for individual needs. Explore the “relaxation response” and understand the physiological benefits of restorative poses by facilitating an environment that promotes deep relaxation.
All of this and more is available in the comprehensive instruction manual that you will receive, which serves as a valuable resource throughout your restorative yoga teaching and practice journey. It includes detailed information on poses, sequencing, anatomy, and teaching methodology to support your ongoing growth as a restorative yoga instructor. We hope you will join us in this program that provides you with everything you need to become a skilled guide in the art of restful rejuvenation.
